Good gracious, blog is bodacious.

What Is The What

In lieu of life slowly churning this past week, gurgling and glugging, slowly chugging toward some unknown faraway finish line, and my ability to tell you witty stories being somewhat stalled by the slow and steady pace I need to keep, I bring you (a list! of) some upcoming Awesomeness occurring in my neck of the woods:

Awesomeness, The First

Angella! is flying to my fair city (that would be Portland, for those keeping track) tomorrow to a) stay with me, b) see the sights, c) support her good friend Danny while his book tour traipses hereabouts, d) have her first Trader Joe’s Experience, e) all of the above.

Awesomeness, The Second

The aforementioned (Sir) Danny Evans will be reading from his new! shiny! first ever! book, Rage Against the Meshugenah at our most beloved Powell’s at 7:30pm this! Wednesday (that would be August 12th, for those keeping track).  You should come. Yes, you. Come say “Hello!” And get your copy of the book signed. Or just have a drink with us afterward. (Because I said so.) Details are here.

Awesomeness, The Third

My dear friends Ian & Jenelle are, at this very moment, getting ready to welcome their first child from womb to hospital room, and if you could send some delivery mojo their way, that would be stellar, because Jenelle is (a super trooper, and) delivering au naturale, and, well, we are just all ready to meet this little guy. We see you in there buddy, time to come out so we can buy you ridiculous hats and shoes and get busy aligning your college football loyalties.

Awesomeness, The Fourth

Sizzle! will be trekking to Portland this upcoming weekend, and if you’re wondering what I did to deserve two amazing friends visiting in one week + new (and old) friends to (finally!) meet + getting to see a slew of Portland (and Vancouver) friends who are (already here, and) fantastic, I honestly have no idea. I’m just really really really excited.

I love how you referred to Danny as (Sir) Danny. He’s going to run with that, you know.

    SEE YOU TOMORROW. Awesomeness.

  4. I’m sorry, I stumbled on the part where Angella has never been to Trader Joe’s. I’m so sorry, I’m a bad friend! I should have taken you when you were here, Angella!

Enjoy the visit and give each other hugs from me, Kerri! :-)
