My car sparkly shiny clean, hand-washed by my favorite uncle, who just happens to be visiting from Seattle, and who also happens to possess an affinity for car cleansing.
Securing a meeting with a cheery, inexpensive florist for next Thursday. Her last name is even “Green.” Coincidence? Well, seeing as how it’s her married name, yeah, probably. But I like making up the story that, being the serious businesswoman that she is, she refused to seriously date guys with non-floral last names.
The word “munificent.” Yeah. I know. Random, right? But I like it; it’s fun to use in a sentence.
This week I have been:
Writing, editing, and organizing grant proposals, and preparing gargantuan-sized grant budgets feverishly, to meet deadlines both old and new.
Snuggling with my pug and enjoying any downtime I have been able to muster.
Writing! I’m so excited about three different stories I have in the works, and thanks to a recent prompt by Danny, I’ve been sitting down daily to translate my excitement into actual words on a page. (Not unlike snakes on a plane. Only → Read more...
